TAN allotment date + form type + quarter + starting tax year, without spaces: DDMMYYNNNQNYYYY.

Example: TAN allotment date 15/09/2004, Form 140, Q1, TY 2026–27 → 150904140Q12026.

The allotment date is generally shown under Profile on the TRACES dashboard. Check the instruction displayed with your download because a public official password note was not available when this tool was prepared.
